Here’s what you’d do:
The Senior Risk and Insurance Analyst reports directly to the Director of Risk Management and supports the placement and renewal lifecycle activities across all corporate insurance programs.
You’d be responsible for:
- Assists in the management of corporate insurance programs, including:
- Gathering, compiling and analyzing renewal data across the organization in order to develop thorough and accurate renewal submissions;
- Participate in underwriting meetings and market presentations;
- Working with insurance broker partners throughout the renewal process;
- Reviewing key documents such as binders, policies and summaries of insurance to ensure accuracy;
- Oversee Certificate of Insurance program management and lead initiatives related to processing and annual renewals;
- Oversee the surety bond process, including acting as liaison with key corporate stakeholders, fielding questions and requests, interfacing with surety bond broker and managing fulfillment and invoicing
- Handles insurance related requests from internal stakeholders, including contract language inquiries and branch personnel requests for assistance
- Review payment of department expenses and track spending against budget
- Administer the corporate dedicated Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and provide support to internal and external stakeholders as requested
- Develop, test and implement RMIS system enhancements
- Responsible for departmental documentation including insurance overview documents, detailed policy summaries, intranet forms and postings, process and procedure and historical documentation, etc.
- Assist the Risk Director in ad hoc projects and presentations for Senior Leadership throughout BrightView.
- Lead initiatives to create transparency throughout the organization as it relates to insurance and claims
- Lead BrightView’s Risk M&A integration
- Collect and review target companies risk related information (exposures, payroll, assets, etc.)
- Communicates findings w/ Insurance Manager and M&A team
- Finalizes integration with support of Aon to ensure acquired company is fully insured and in compliance.
- Perform internal audit of Actuarial, RMIS, and Third-Party Administrator reports for internal and external requests
- Assist Risk Director in Claim related items
- Manage & develop Risk Coordinator/Analyst
- Assist other departments in their initiative’s w/ a Risk focus in mind
- Other responsibilities may be added as needed
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance or related discipline required.
- Three years related experience working in a corporate risk management department (preferred), brokerage or commercial insurance carrier.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, relationship building and verbal and written communication skills. The ability to function productively and independently and build credibility and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is critical to this role.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel with strong analytical skills.
- A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Working independently, taking initiative and critical thinking are required in this position.
